Birds of the Burrum: A Comprehensive Listing.

Accurate Bird Lists are very difficult to compile because of “mistaken identification” (Human Error), and “birds out of place”

(Human Interference). On the basis of well documented distribution maps, the list below contains several entries that could be

questioned; and several species that could be expected to be in this area have not been reported.

This list was compiled by Dr. Tim Thornton (Phone 0741290609), and is based on his sightings and the brochure

“Birds of the Bay” produced by John Knight of the Hervey Bay Bird Watchers (Phone 0741252372).
